How to Make a Profit with Candy Vending Machines

Candy vending machines are already fast becoming the common and must-have facility in the vending machine industry. Most everyone likes candy, which makes these machines a good choice for most any location. There are various types of machines, offering many different types of candy. If you're interested in this business for yourself, there are many things to consider. The first is what kind of machine you want. The two basic types of candy machines are capsule, and glass front. The type that is best for you depends on your budget and the location you choose.

First, let's look at the capsule type of machine. These machines have one compartment that holds one type of candy. Usually, you'll find these machines filled with either gumballs or pieces of hard candy that will not melt easily and are not wrapped. When coins are inserted and the machine's knob is turned, anywhere from one piece to multiple pieces of gum or candy are dispensed. One good thing about the capsule machine is its small size. These machines are ideal for locations where a large machine is not appropriate. This may include a small lobby or office. You may notice small capsule machines in groups located in the entrance area of many supermarkets.

Then there are the large glass-front candy machines. These are much more sophisticated and a great deal larger. Rectangular in shape, these machines display anywhere from around 10 to 40 different selections for customers to choose from. Items you may find in one of these machines include wrapped candy bars, peanut butter cups, M & M's, bags of gummy bears, and more. The items in these machines are individually wrapped and a good bit more expensive than the candy found in capsule machines. You can expect to charge around one dollar or even more per item in one of these machines. This type of candy machine works well in spacious areas that welcome lots of people. This might be a shopping mall, large office building, hospital, or university, for example.

If you're new to the world of candy vending machines and don't have a lot to invest right away, start with a small capsule machine. Then, as you start making profit, you can multiply and upgrade your machines. One of the most important things is that you work with a machine distributor that offers quality machines and filler merchandise at good prices. The other crucial aspect of vending machine success is the right location. If you're prepared to work hard to secure a great spot, you have a better chance of vending machine success!
